My name is Katie Andersson and I teach English as a Second Language (ESL) in Costa Rica. I have been teaching my own personal classes, outside of any formal academy) for the last two years and making the switch changed my life in all the right ways. Recently, I am working on BRIO, a project that will allow other language teachers to teach their own classes as well.

From one BRIO teacher to another, I will give you advice based on my experience making it and breaking it. I will share tips that I’ve found that keeps students coming back for more. And I’ll tell you about my journey starting my own teaching business in a country I didn’t grow up in.

It’s been a crazy amazing experience so far and I’m glad you’re all along for the ride with me.
